May 15, 2007
Dear Union Friends and Family,
The Union A.M.E. Church of Warwick New York would like to thank you in
advance for taking a few moments to read this letter which not only expresses a
need, but also gives you a unique opportunity to provide a lasting remembrance
of what was and what will be.
From time to time, we reflect on the immense goodness of God and His many
blessings to us, the greatest gift of His son, Jesus Christ, our Lord and
Savior, and the constant presence of His Holy Spirit working in the church and
in our lives. While thinking of this, the Union A.M.E. Church realizes that it
is also He who has brought us to a time such as this. A time in which God has
commissioned us, as His servants, to tear down and rebuild an edifice that will
be safe and spiritually filled for our congregation to worship and serve the
community, as they have for the past 100 years.
The last service held at Union African Methodist Episcopal Church was our
candlelight vigil during the Lent season of 2006. However, as we approach the
first year anniversary of our temporary relocation to Town Hall, we welcome all
the assistance we are provided.
We
are now moving pass the talking stage and are quickly approaching the tearing
down and rebuilding stage. Therefore, we are asking; no we are pleading, that
anyone that wishes to contribute time, talent or financial assistance to this
endeavor please do so by way of a commitment letter. Remember, this is an
opportunity to invest in the spiritual future of the next generation.
All commitment letters can be sent to:

These are exciting times in our church history and we are looking forward
to the demolition and ground breaking ceremony in July of 2007.
Please help us to achieve this project of reconstructing the “House of
God.”
May God continue to bless you and keep you.
